The biggest difference between riders who crash and riders who don’t is their ability to handle the bike and avoid hazards. The Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Center provides several different training courses to hone riding skills and help riders stay "shiny side up." We have training for beginners, experienced riders, off-road enthusiasts (including youth classes), sidecar and trike owners, instructor certification, and mopeds. We even have on-street training available!

Here's what the MMSC offers:

- The Basic RiderCourse (BRC) teaches you how to ride, and we provide the bikes! You can also get your motorcycle endorsement.

- The schedule for the BRC runs from April through October at 48 locations throughout Minnesota.

- The Experienced Rider Course (ERC) is designed for those with at least one year or 1000 miles in the saddle (or more). This five-hour course is especially valuable to riders with many years of experience who have never had motorcycle training.

- The schedule for the Experienced Rider Course (ERC) runs from April through October.

-The MMSC is always looking for friendly, reliable motorcycle enthusiasts to teach motorcycle safety classes. Learn more about what it takes to become an Instructor.

-To ride legally in Minnesota, motorcyclists must have either an instruction permit or license endorsement. Learn the three different ways to earn your endorsement.

-Moped safety classes are available to anyone. Some riders are required to take this course.
